The ability to compress the tiny home to a road legal width, height, and weight is great for those who enjoy location upgrades, moving around for family or jobs, or if you are ready for a fixed home and just want to sell your tiny home.

On road overall width is 3.0m, height including trailer is 3.9m, over-all-length of tiny home itself is 8.4m while trailer drawbar adds a further 1.6m. Base weight excluding removable furniture is 3.50tonnes including the trailer, so it meets NZTA requirements for on road use without special permits or pilot vehicles etc. Our first unit can be towed by a Ford Ranger or larger SUV and up to 80km/hr on the open roads.
The trailer is a ‘girder’ construction by Aakron Xpress with tandem axles, break-away brakes, LED lights and comes with a manufacturers structural warranty for 10 years. It comes complete with stabiliser jacks at every corner.

Great work, great people, great results.
Lloyd and Luke were both accommodating and communicative throughout the entire build process. Everything was well communicated and they were more than happy to work with us to modify one of their existing floor plans to create something perfect for us. There are tons of customization options to personalize your build to fit your preferences and Luke and Lloyd are both keen to hear new ideas and make changes if that’s what you want. They were transparent and honest about everything, and despite all the hold ups with materials and other chaos caused by the pandemic, they have managed to produce awesome results in a quick timeframe.
I also found them to be thoughtful and proactive. They suggested a few additions/changes which I think will drastically improve the practical aspects of the home.
As far as tiny homes go, I think Tui Tiny Homes definitely one of the most reasonably priced and I think probably the best value for money. The slide out makes it great for people with pets, or people with mobility issues who couldn’t utilize the generic “mezzanine bedroom” style most tiny homes have.
The delivered build far exceeded our expectations and we are stoked with the results. They recommended a mover to deliver halfway across the country to us (who was also great to deal with).
If you’re thinking about a tiny home – go with a Tui Tiny Home! Worth every penny, and you know your hard earned money is going to hard working, honest people; doing bloody fantastic work.

When a change in circumstances found us looking for accommodation for a family member, I started looking at Tiny Homes options.
As the home was for an older family member, we were put off by the loft designs as this would not be practical in the long run.
Tui Tiny Homes stood out with their slide out, single story design. Tui Tiny Homes customised their floor plan for us and we got the perfect home for our family member. The home has plenty of room and doesn’t feel tiny at all, very happy with design,
fixtures and options given to us for choosing colours etc.
We have found the Tui team very knowledgeable in all aspects of tiny home construction & fitout. Communication was great & I was able to drop in on several occasions to check progress during the build. The deposit was held in a joint account & used only on our build. At no time were we ever concerned about the security of our money.
Towing to and onto our site with difficult roads (after Auckland floods) & steep narrow driveway didn’t phase Jay the Towie at all, the tiny house was placed in perfect position.
We have found dealing with Tui Tiny Homes a positive experience. They did what they said they would when they said they would and we would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to family and friends.
